Citizen Science Workshops

For those interested in participating in valuable scientific research, there is an opportunity to get involved in Sea Synergy’s research into European Native Oysters in the Portmagee Channel. Sponsored by the Heritage Council, the free workshops are part of efforts to monitor and safeguard the species. The oysters play an essential role in keeping the water healthy for all marine life, but have declined by 95% in UK and Irish waters so protecting remaining populations is vital. Spots can be reserved by emailing activities@seasynergy.org
